Registered Veterinary Technician - East Bay Veterinary Clinic

PetVet Care Centers' East Bay Veterinary Clinic is actively seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join the team. The role supports hospital operations by delivering high‑quality veterinary care and outstanding service to patients and clients.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements through examinations, interviews, lab tests, and diagnostic imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, vaccines, and bandages.
• Assist during examinations and surgeries by assembling supplies, restraining patients, and following veterinarian directives.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, and specialized equipment to provide excellent pet care.
• Obtain and verify medications, maintain inventory, place orders, and manage receipts.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and sanitary environment by sterilizing instruments, sanitizing areas, and following legal regulations.
• Maintain and update patient medical records, document conditions and changes, and communicate status to pet owners as directed.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs.
• Release pets to owners after cleaning and grooming, and ensure each animal is prepared for return.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform additional duties assigned by the Manager or practice.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
• Preferred – One year of relevant experience.

Schedule

Full‑time, day shift:

• Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday – Sunday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay Range

$23.16 – $28.30 USD per hour.
