Amerivet is seeking a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician in Del Mar, CA. The role includes client communication, anesthesia assistance, dental procedures, radiology, and in-house lab work at Del Mar Heights Veterinary Hospital.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California, license active and in good standing.
• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Obtain accurate medical histories.
• Perform basic exam procedures.
• Skilled in venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning.
• Dental procedures with digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting and extractions (preferred).
• Comfortable with general anesthesia and surgical assisting.
• Laboratory skills including microscope and in-house equipment.
• Ability to use ultrasound for diagnostic imaging and urine samples (preferred).
• Excellent client communication/education.
• Independent technician appointments with accurate medical record documentation.
