Job summary

PV Village Pet Hospital in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will provide end-to-end patient care, perform lab tests, and assist with admissions and discharges.

PV Village Pet Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Role Requirements:
  • Proof of Registered Veterinary Technician status in California
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively handle and control aggressive animals.
  • Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspects of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including the use of euthanasia.
  • Be proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, digital radiography (full body and dental)
  • Assist with anesthetic procedures as needed (eg. Spays, neuters, mass removals, dentals, etc)
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
  • Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with staff and clients

Compensation is based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate of $25-$34/hour.
