Job summary

PV Village Pet Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our busy team near Redondo Beach. You will provide end-to-end care for our patients, perform laboratory tests, and help with admissions and discharges in a fast-paced hospital.

California RVT credential is required. You must communicate well, stay organized, and be able to handle aggressive animals.

Qualifications

• Proof of RVT status in California.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle and control aggressive animals.
• Comfort with the physical and emotional aspects of veterinary work, including euthanasia.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography.
• Assist with anesthetic procedures (eg. Spays, neuters, mass removals, dentals, etc).
• Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
• Must have active listening, critical thinking, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

PV Village Pet Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Role Requirements

• Proof of Registered Veterinary Technician status in California
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively handle and control aggressive animals.

Compensation is based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate of $25-$34/hour.
