You'll work hands-on with cardiac patients and advanced diagnostics, learning alongside specialists who want to see you grow. We invest in your career with continuing education reimbursement, ongoing access to educational resources, and clear paths for advancement. Whether you're an RVT ready to deepen your specialty skills, an assistant building toward credentialing, or someone aiming for a leadership role, you'll find the support to get there and to practice at the top of your skill set.A Culture of Teammates, Not EmployeesWe look for teammates, not employees: people who bring humility, empathy, positivity, and professionalism to everything they do. We hold each other accountable because we're committed to each other and to our patients. Direct communication, mutual respect, and collaboration come naturally here. As part of our founding team, you'll help create that environment from the start.

Job Description
Your Impact as a Credentialed Cardiology Veterinary Technician

Note: The Credentialed Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state's Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.

  • Perform Specialized Cardiac Diagnostics: You'll perform and assist with specialized diagnostics including ECGs, Holter monitor set-up and data collection, blood pressure measurement, and other advanced cardiac imaging.
  • Ensure Precise Drug Calculation and Administration: You'll accurately calculate, prepare, and administer cardiac medications, sedatives, and emergency drugs.
  • Perform Phlebotomy and Sample Collection: You'll perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, collect samples for laboratory analysis, and take radiographs.
  • Provide Compassionate Care: You'll provide compassionate patient care and ensure patient comfort, all while maintaining a clean and organized facility.
  • Create a Positive Client Experience: You'll discharge patients, review treatment plans and follow-up care with clients, and assist with client service operations such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • Drive Operational Excellence and Mentorship: You'll accurately maintain medical records, prescriptions, and controlled drug logs using our computer systems, and help train and mentor veterinary assistants and new teammates.
  • Support Anesthesia and Patient Monitoring (in select locations): You'll induce, maintain, and monitor patients under sedation and anesthesia, continuously assessing vital parameters in often medically fragile cardiac patients and escalating concerns to the cardiologist promptly.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
  • Experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or a specialty/referral environment is a plus.
  • A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
  • The physical capability to lift and carry animals up to 40 lbs, with comfort in prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and physical activity.
  • The ability to travel to secondary locations as required.
