Job summary

Northfield Veterinary Hospital in Northfield, OH seeks a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. You’ll assist with surgeries, anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other exotics, while growing clinically in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• RVT credential required by Ohio regulations.
• 1–2 years' veterinary clinic experience.

Responsibilities

Registered Veterinary Technician | Northfield, OH

For the technician who still gets excited about learning something new. One day you’re helping a puppy through its first visit. The next you’re monitoring anesthesia during surgery, working a dental, running diagnostics, or caring for a rabbit or ferret. About The Practice

For more than 50 years, we’ve cared for pets in Northfield and the greater Cleveland area, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and other small exotics. With two dental tables, a dedicated surgical suite, and a therapy laser, there’s real room to grow in dentistry, anesthesia, and surgery, whether you’re already confident or still building those skills. We believe credentialed technicians should use the skills they worked hard to earn, so you’ll play an active role in patient care every day. Every morning starts with a team huddle, because good medicine starts with good communication. We have a small-town feel, and Cleveland’s restaurants, sports, entertainment, and outdoor adventures are close by

What You’ll Help Make Possible

• Safe surgeries and dentals through careful patient prep and anesthesia monitoring
• Smooth recoveries, with any change caught and reported early

Required

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential, as required in Ohio
• 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary setting
• Availability for four 10-hour day shifts per week, including rotating Saturdays and holidays

Preferred

• Experience with surgery, dentistry, or anesthesia monitoring
• Experience with, or interest in, rabbits, ferrets, and other small exotics
• A love of hands‑on patient care and growing your clinical skills
• Communicates with kindness and confidence
• Enjoys a collaborative team environment

Schedule

• Full-time, Day shift
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating Saturdays, about once a month
• Holiday shifts required

Compensation

Compensation for this role ranges from $23.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience and role alignment.
