Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in New Mexico, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire.
  • 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience.
  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
  • Passion for working with both large and small animals, and their owners.
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species.
  • Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or ranch setting.
  • Solid communication and organizational skills.
  • Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in a hospital or ranch setting.
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures.
  • Perform dental procedures (scaling, polishing, extractions) and related care.
  • Assist with IV and urinary catheter placements, casts, bandages and splints.
  • Utilize radiology, ultrasound, and lab skills for diagnostics.

We are currently looking to hire a **Registered Veterinary Technician**to join our team at **Village Veterinary Hospital** in Bosque Farms, New Mexico.* **Salary:** $19 – $23 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.* **Schedule:** Hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Thursday and Saturday 1/2 days 8:30 am – 12 pm.
