Job summary

East Side Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the Thrive Pet Healthcare family in Evansville, IN. This full-time role involves supporting veterinarians and caring for dogs and cats across day and evening shifts.

You will work closely with a compassionate team, manage medical records, assist during procedures, and ensure high standards of patient care and client communication.

Qualifications

• RV T or RVT-eligible preferred; experienced Veterinary Assistants encouraged to apply
• 1-2 years of veterinary clinic experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a positive, friendly attitude

Responsibilities

• Maintaining medical records and communicating with clients on their pets' medical procedures, including treatment plans and costs
• Maintaining examination, treatment, and surgical suite, including maintenance of equipment such as anesthetic machines/ monitors, x-ray machines, dental, and autoclaving equipment.
• Must be comfortable and confident handling dogs and cats of all sizes

East Side Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Our Veterinary Technicians/Assistants are the heartbeat of our team and work side by side with our Veterinarians (DVMs) during procedures. A full-time position would require working between 30-40 hours a week, which includes a combination of day & evening shifts.

Role Responsibilities
