Job summary

Tim Kolb Inc in Columbus, OH is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our clinical team. You will assist veterinarians, monitor anesthesia, and help maintain meticulous medical records.

This full-time position offers medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO, 3% 401(k) match after 1 year, pet-care discounts, and a collaborative work environment. Schedule includes Mon–Tue, Thu 8am–6pm; Fri 8am–5pm; Sat 8am–1pm (1st & 3rd Saturdays).

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio Veterinary Technician Certification.
• Experience in patient care and animal handling.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and charting.
• Ability to work with Fear Free handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and support to animals in a clinical setting.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures, including animal catheterization, intramuscular injections, and venipuncture.
• Monitor sedated patients and anesthetized patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using veterinary terminology.
• Monitor animal health and behavior, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Educate pet owners on proper care and handling techniques.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of care and effective communication.

• Ability to handle dogs and cats using Fear Free methods
