Description du poste

We’re here for you, we’re here for your pet, and we’re proud to be your neighborhood’s favorite vet!

Southgate Veterinary Clinic is proud to have cared for Bellefontaine pets and families for several decades. Under Dr. DeWayne Weaver’s ownership since 2017, our hospital completed a full remodel in 2020 and kept the close relationships that make us a community fixture. Our doctors bring experience in many aspects of small-animal medicine, such as surgery, behavior, and exotic companion mammal wellness, which creates an environment where questions lead to learning and no one practices in a silo.

Our beautiful hospital includes six exam rooms, a dedicated surgery suite, treatment space, separate dog and cat wards, and dedicated ultrasound and radiology areas. We take pride in not only our veterinary knowledge and technical expertise but also in the kindness, patience, and integrity that define our practice culture. Our goal is simple- to provide the highest quality medical care while building lasting relationships with our clients and their beloved pets.

  • Triage incoming patients and help the team prioritize care calmly and confidently.
  • Use safe, low-stress restraint techniques while protecting each patient’s comfort.
  • Collect and analyze blood, urine, fecal, skin, and other diagnostic samples.
  • Capture quality radiographic images and support dental radiography when trained.
  • Prepare patients and the surgery suite, assist doctors, and maintain sterile technique.
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia using two anesthesia monitors and sound clinical judgment.
  • Provide attentive nursing care for medical and hospitalized patients with varied acuity.
  • Use IDEXX ProCyte Dx, SediVue Dx, SNAP Pro, Imagyst, three Catalyst One analyzers, digital radiology, and in-house urinalysis capabilities.
  • Explain treatment plans, medications, prevention, and home-care instructions in approachable language.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and contribute ideas that strengthen workflow and patient care.
