Annapolis Cat Practice/ Bay Ridge Animal Hospital in Annapolis, MD is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and service to clients.

The successful candidate will have RVT certification in Maryland, experience with animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, and a passion for improving pets’ lives. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, 401(k), professional development, and an employee pet discount.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification in Maryland.
• Experience in animal care and client communication preferred.
• Familiarity with common veterinary procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and updates to clients.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Salary: $22-$27 per hour, based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with three to four 10-hour shifts per weekday and rotating Saturday mornings. Two early shifts (8:00 AM–6:00 PM) and two late shifts (10:00 AM–8:00 PM). Occasional shifts from 8 am to 8 pm.

**KeyResponsibilities:**

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.

• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification in Maryland.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
