4 Paws Pet Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, seeks aRegistered Veterinary Technician to join our team. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for qualified RVTs. This full-time position features a 4-day, 10-hour shift (Mon-Thu, 8am-6pm) and opportunities to grow within Thrive Pet Healthcare.

You will support veterinarians, assist with surgeries, manage patient flow, and educate clients on care and Thrive memberships. We offer extensive benefits and a collaborative environment.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including intake and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

• Veterinary technician licensure required.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience
• Must have surgical, anesthesia and dental experience.
• Must be willing to accommodate schedule adjustments as hospital hours and operating days may change in the future.

Role Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
