Job summary

Primary Vascular Care in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Registered Vascular Technician (RVT or RVS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of vascular sonography experience and 1–2 years of venous insufficiency experience, with a strong foundation in non-invasive vascular ultrasound.

You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, maintain patient privacy, operate and troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• 2 years of vascular sonography experience required.
• 1–2 years of venous insufficiency experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited ultrasound or vascular technology program.
• BLS certification required.
• Ultrasound certificate and vascular competency demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment per PVC policies.
• Verify patient identity and review supporting clinical documentation.
• Evaluate contraindications, prep adequacy, and patient tolerance.
• Perform diagnostic medical sonography exams with focus on venous reflux and pathology.
• Acquire additional images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Position patients properly for comfort and safety during scanning.
• Document exam limitations, findings, and incidental findings clearly.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and infection control standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient workflow.
• Support compliance with IAC and facility standards.
• Pursue ongoing education and certification in sonography.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
