Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound studies, obtain quality images, and contribute to patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will schedule exams, document findings, maintain equipment, and participate in QA initiatives while ensuring compassionate, age-appropriate care for neonates through geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Ultrasound exams are performed and results are recorded.
• Proficient in coordinating exams with other departments.
• Maintains records of examination data and QA/I data as required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in establishing and implementing the department vision and mission statement.
• Performs and records results of ultrasound evaluations; writes preliminary reports.
• Schedules exams to coordinate with other patient examinations and departments.
• Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
• Operates equipment per policy and procedures; ensures patient safety.
• Demonstrates competency appropriate to age of patient (neonate to geriatric).
• Assists in gathering QA data for accreditation and hospital quality improvement.
