Position Overview
- This position is based at Raleigh Radiology, outpatient imaging centers in Wake County, NC, and surrounding areas.
- The primary responsibilities include performing outpatient ultrasound and radiology exams, assisting with BMD procedures, and providing diagnostic outpatient services.
- The technologist must be registered in any subspecialty of Sonography with ARDMS or ARRT, with rotation required across Sonography, Radiography, and BMD as needed.

Minimum Requirements
- Maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality.
- Perform procedures safely and efficiently, following policies and procedures.
- Assess patient condition, prioritize needs, and respond appropriately, including discharge teaching.
- Document observations and assist with tests and procedures.
- Participate in resource management and ensure equipment readiness.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, physicians, and patients, demonstrating courtesy and respect.
- Perform additional duties such as scheduling as assigned.
Patient Care Responsibilities
- Gather patient history and engage positively with patients.
- Monitor and assess patients, respond to emergencies, and document condition changes.
- Provide accurate history to radiologists and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
- Graduate from a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program; additional Radiography education is a plus.
- Preferably experience in a busy clinical setting.
- Must have AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it.
- Registered with ARDMS or ARRT prior to employment; ARDMS RVT certification required for vascular exams.
