MedMark Treatment Centers in California is seeking a compassionate Registered Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatment and counseling. You will conduct individual and group sessions, collaborate with medical staff, and contribute to crisis management and recovery planning.

The role requires a CA-registered counselor with experience with chemically dependent individuals, a positive attitude, and ability to pass drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Requires state-registered counselor in California.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours as scheduled; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews the initial treatment plan with each patient.
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
