Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time, day shift role includes cross-training in Pediatrics and the NICU to deliver high-quality respiratory care.

The Therapist will assess and treat breathing disorders, operate ventilators, conduct diagnostic tests, and collaborate with physicians to develop individualized care plans, while educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with breathing disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies as prescribed.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests for respiratory function.
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on breathing techniques and therapy.
• Maintain accurate patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes.

Baptist Health is seeking to add a Registered Respiratory Therapist to Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This position will be cross trained in both Pediatrics and the NICU. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity. At Baptist Health, a Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory or breathing disorders. This role involves administering respiratory therapy treatments, performing diagnostic pulmonary function tests, managing and monitoring mechanical ventilators, and providing patient education and respiratory care support. The Respiratory Therapist collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Responsibilities
