Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Respiratory Therapist III to deliver critical care respiratory therapies and lead patient assessment and education. You will work in high-acuity settings with ventilator management, verifying orders and collaborating with the care team.

The role requires NBRC credentials (RRT) with at least two years of critical care experience and strong communication, decision-making, and computer skills. Night shift, full-time, per the posting.

Formación

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy (preferred).
• NBRC credential (RRT) required with current credential and two years of critical care experience.
• Ability to communicate with physicians and health care staff; proficiency in using databases.

Responsabilidades

• Administers medications and implements respiratory care per protocol in critical care areas.
• Assesses patients, educates patients and families, and coordinates care activities.
• Verifies orders, administers aerosolized meds, and performs ABG sampling/analysis.
• Assists in invasive/non-invasive procedures and supports quality improvement projects.

The Respiratory Therapist III is responsible for medication administration and implementingrespiratory care based on expanded knowledge, experience, and the evaluate-and-treat process. The majority of time is in critical care areas with protocol ventilator management, significant independent decision-making and self direction.In addition, to patient care delivery, the RT III is responsible for patient, family/support system education, coordination of activities, staff development, and professional and self-developmental activities. The RT III addresses the biological, emotional, and developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family education needs when providing care to the patient. Actively engages in PI projects. Demonstrates ability and willingness to serve in a preceptor capacity for new employees and RT students.

NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory TherapiRCP - Respiratory Care ProfRRT-ACCS - Adult Critical Care Specialist or RRT-NPS - Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist or NBRC-RPFT - Reg Pulmonary Function Tech or AE-C - Asthma Educator Specialist

NBRC Credential: RRT, Registered Respiratory Care Professional. Required to have current advance credential with a minimum of two (2) years clinical experience to work in all critical care areas but not limited to Adult ICU, CVICU, BURN, NICU, Emergency Departments (Adult and Pediatric) as it relates each facility. S. degree may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

Ability to communicate well, critical thinking skills, establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care personnel professionals, and computer skills including familiarity with databases.Good customer relation, assessment, and communication skills are a must for this job.
