Job summary

West Boca Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our night shift team on a per diem basis. You will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders across all ages.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy, Florida licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. NICU staff require NRP certification; prior post-graduate experience is preferred to support our comprehensive care approach.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent credentialing.
• Graduate of a two (2) year AMA approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Active Florida licensure and current BLS, ACLS & PALS.
• NICU?NRP certification if assigned to NICU.
• Minimum of 1–2 years post-graduate clinical experience in Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Evaluate, monitor, and rehab lung function across all ages from newborns to elderly.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist assess, treat, and cares for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. Evaluate, monitor, and rehab lung function across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), if employee was credentialed by the NBRC on or after July 1, 2002, they must participate in the Credential Maintenance Program to maintain your NBRC credentials. Credentials awarded prior to July 1, 2002, are not
  subject to the Credential Maintenance Program
• Graduate of a two (2) year AMA approved Respiratory Care Program

Required

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy

Other Qualifications:

• Must be licensed by the State of Florida Department of Professional Regulations and have current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS
• Therapists working in NICU must have a current NRP certification

Minimum requirements:

• A minimum of two (1) year post-graduate clinical experience in Respiratory Care procedures

West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County.
