Job summary

West Boca Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled team. You will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders and help evaluate and rehab lung function across all ages from newborns to the elderly.

The role requires Florida licensure, NBRC RRT, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. NICU candidates with NRP certification are especially valued, with a potential for per diem scheduling and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the State of Florida and hold current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS
• NICU experience with current NRP certification
• Minimum 1 year post-graduate clinical experience in Respiratory Care

The Registered Respiratory Therapist assess, treat, and cares for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. Evaluate, monitor, and rehab lung function across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), if employee was credentialed by the NBRC on or after July 1, 2002, they must participate in the Credential Maintenance Program to maintain your NBRC credentials. Credentials awarded prior to July 1, 2002, are not subject to the Credential Maintenance Program
• Graduate of a two (2) year AMA approved Respiratory Care Program

Required

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy

Other Qualifications:

• Must be licensed by the State of Florida Department of Professional Regulations and have current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS
• Therapists working in NICU must have a current NRP certification

Minimum requirements:

• A minimum of two (1) year post-graduate clinical experience in Respiratory Care procedures

WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County.
