Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for PRN shifts. You will provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care, respond to emergencies, and support education for patients and families.

Responsibilities include delivering aerosol and oxygen therapy, managing ventilators, performing ABG sampling, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure high-quality outcomes in a rural care setting.

Qualifications

  • Arkansas license (RRT or CRT) and BLS; ACLS within required timeframe.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Deliver aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and bronchial hygiene; perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
  • Manage and troubleshoot ventilators and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) per protocol; document in the electronic health record (Meditech).
  • Assist with crash cart maintenance and support patient/family respiratory education.
  • Provide shift leadership/charge support as assigned; coordinate with the care team.
  • Support emergent procedures with physicians and nurses as needed.

Job Summary

Compensation & Schedule
  • Status: Full-time (PRN/part-time may be considered).
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends/holidays based on department needs.
  • Pay: Competitive base pay with applicable differentials; details discussed during interviews.
