Job summary

WK Medical Center in Shreveport, LA is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists for day shifts (7A-7P). A minimum schedule of 32 hours every two weeks is required. Current NBRC Credential, LSBME Licensure, and BLS Certification are required for employment.

Therapists will work across the ED, CCU, ICU, PACU, PICU and NICU, with potential training on ECMO and specialized labs as opportunities arise. Louisiana licensure is mandatory for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care in ED, CCU, ICU, PACU, PICU and NICU.
• RRTs with CCU experience may be considered for ECMO team training.

In addition to general floor care, our respiratory therapists treat patients in the Emergency Department, CCU, ICU, PACU, PICU, and NICU (Level III). Future opportunities in our department may include Bronchoscopy Lab, Pulmonary Function Lab, Hyperbaric and Wound Care Clinic and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. RRTs with at least 6 months of CCU experience will be given consideration for training and participation on our ECMO Team.
