Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform assessments and respiratory care in pediatric and neonatal units, including blood gas analysis and education for patients and families. The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, prior neonatal/pediatric experience or orientation, and active credentials as an RRT with state licensure.

Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP; neonatal/pediatric specialist credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited school in Respiratory Therapy Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal or Pediatric Respiratory care, or successful completion of department-specific orientation, including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Upon Hire Required and
• Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.
• Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care Preferred
