Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for full-time night shifts. The ideal candidate will deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory therapies and equipment, interpret ABGs, and communicate with physicians, patients, managers, and the public.

A Florida license, NBRC RRT/CRT, and BLS are required, with ACLS, NRP, and PALS to be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• 1 year min RRT experience (ICU/CVICU/NICU/PICU) in critical care.
• Florida state Respiratory License required.
• NBRC – RRT/CRT credential.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• NRP within 30 days of start date.
• PALS within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, set-up, and maintains respiratory therapies and equipment (e.g., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators).
• Performs and interprets Arterial Blood Gases (ABG).
• Communicates effectively with Physicians, patients, managers, and the public.
• Able to teach/instruct, assess and reassess others.
• Recognizes and reports abuse and neglect in patients.
• Maintains knowledge of standard respiratory care practices as prescribed by physician.

Job Description

• Knowledge of patient responses, side effects and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care.
• Able to communicate effectively with Physicians, patients, managers and the publics.
• Ability to teach/instruct, assess and reassess others.
• Able to recognize and report abuse and neglect in patients.
• Knowledge of generally accepted practices in respiratory care as prescribed by the physician.
• Delivers, set-up, and maintains routine and non-routine therapies and equipment (i.e., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators) utilized by Respiratory Therapy.
• Ability to perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases.

Job Qualifications

• 1yr min of RRT exp required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care unit) * Would consider those with home care and/or long term care experience * Would Also consider CRT experience
• FL State Respiratory License
• NBRC – RRT/CRT
• Basic Cardiac Life Support(BLS)
• ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
