Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for on-site, night shift coverage in Saint Joseph, MO. You will work under leadership to deliver respiratory therapies, educate patients and families, and ensure safety and quality of care.

The role requires an NBRC-accredited respiratory therapy program graduate with RRT eligibility or current certification and MO licensure as appropriate, plus BLS and ACLS. On-site benefits are included.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• Graduate from NBRC-accredited respiratory therapy program.
• RRT certification or eligibility required.
• Missouri RCP license or permit (under supervision) required upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates and assesses patient’s respiratory needs to make recommendations.
• Administers medications and treatments based on patient outcomes.
• Delivers and assesses patient response to ordered therapy.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patients condition and response to stimuli.
• Provides patient education for disease, medications, and treatment.
• Documents therapy and medication administration with pre/post assessments and related data.
• Ensures accurate patient charges through proper documentation.
• Assists with equipment care, cleaning, disinfection/sterilization, reassembly, testing.
• Obtain qualifying testing needed for DME company to facilitate discharge.
• Responds to Code Blues/Yellows/Pinks as directed.

Job Description

The Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (R) works under the supervision of leadership. The Respiratory Therapist (R) assumes responsibility for caring for and completing tasks that contribute to high quality, safe, and effective care. The therapist will execute protocols, administer respiratory therapies, and educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.

• Administers medications and treatments based on patient outcomes.
• Delivers and assesses patient response to ordered therapy.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patients condition and response to stimuli.
• Provides patient education for disease, medications, and treatment.

Education

• H.S. Diploma - Required
• Graduated from an accredited respiratory therapy program approved by the NBRC, where clinical rotations were completed - Required

Work Experience

• 1 Year - 1 -2 years of experience - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - If new graduate, RRT must be obtained within 6 months of hire. - Required Upon Hire
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - Current, valid, and licensed in the state of Missouri (permit allowed if working under the direction of a licensed RRT) - Required Upon Hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - must obtain within 30 days of hire - Required within 30 Days
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Must obtain within 6 months of hire. - Required within 180 Days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Must obtain within 6 months of hire. - Required within 180 Days
