Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient respiratory care based on physician orders. You will serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff, performing therapies and evaluating outcomes.

Applicants must be a graduate of a CoARC-approved respiratory care program with an RCP license and NBRC RRT credential; PALS is required for ER staff, with ACLS and critical care experience preferred.

Job description

Role:

Responsibilities:

Performs respiratory therapies, consults on therapy effectiveness, and acts as a knowledgeable resource for clinical teams.


Qualifications:

Graduate of a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. PALS certification required for emergency room staff. Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification and critical care experience.


Skills & Demands:

Proficient with respiratory care devices, capable of physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs., and minimal kneeling or crouching. Strong communication and clinical assessment skills are essential.
