Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care across respiratory services, following physician orders and collaborating with physicians on therapy effectiveness.

The role requires an RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and eligibility for state licensure; PALS for ER staff is needed, ACLS preferred, and critical care experience is a plus.

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• PALS required for Emergency Room staff.
• ACLS preferred; critical care experience preferred.

Position Details:

• QualificationsEducation: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
