Job summary

Mercy in Guthrie, OK is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care across respiratory therapies per physician orders, consults on therapy effectiveness, and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Situations include ER coverage with PALS required, NBRC RRT credential, RCP license, CoARC-approved program; ACLS preferred. Mercy offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, tuition support, and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC certification.
• PALS required for ER staff.
• ACLS preferred.

Position Details:

QualificationsEducation: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.Experience: None.Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.Preferred Certifications: Preferred Other:
