Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a key resource for the care team.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved respiratory care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS and critical care experience are preferred, and a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential from NBRC required.
• PALS for ER coworkers.
• ACLS preferred for advanced roles.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Details:

SIGN ON BONUS - $10,000

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
