Job summary

Mercy Ardmore seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. The role includes consulting with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serving as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Candidates must have an RRT credential and a CoArc-approved respiratory care program; licensure is required. ACLS is preferred; familiarity with emergency room protocols is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC. For ER coworkers, PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands include push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Preferred Education: ACLS

Position Details

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
