How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Lead the development of specialized respiratory care plans, utilizing your clinical expertise to tailor treatment frequency and intensity to each patient’s unique diagnosis.
  • Manage advanced respiratory modalities and life-sustaining equipment, maintaining a vigilant eye on patient stability to ensure the highest standards of safety and intervention.
  • Advocate for patient recovery by documenting care journeys with precision and communicating real-time condition changes to the Wichita-based multidisciplinary team.
  • Educate patients and Kansas families on respiratory health and local support networks, empowering them to manage their conditions with confidence after discharge.
  • Respond as a critical member of the emergency resuscitation team, providing calm, expert leadership and life-saving care during high-pressure "code" situations.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
What minimum requirements you’ll need
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts required.
Education
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
