Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Warner Robins, GA, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assess and treat patients. You will perform diagnostics, administer prescribed therapy, and collaborate with physicians. Opportunity to work with Pulmonary Lab and related equipment where licensure allows.

This on-call, night-shift role requires adaptability and strong patient care skills. 36 hours weekly, fostering comprehensive clinical exposure in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapist educational program.
• Experience: None
• Must have good working knowledge in the use of equipment for diagnosis and treatment of patients receiving routine and critical respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, perform diagnostics, assist and consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer the prescribed therapy to patients based on physician orders.
• May become proficient in Pulmonary Lab, cardiovascular and neurology equipment and related duties where not requiring extra licensure.
• Perform in cardiology areas including electrocardiograms, echocardiography, cardiac and pulmonary stress testing, and EEG as deemed competent.

Qualifications:

Education & Training: Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapist educational program.

Experience: None

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

• Current licensure by the Composite State Board of Georgia.


• Current RRT as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care.


• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.


• Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS and NRP certification or obtained within three (3) months of hire.


• Current AHA/ARC PALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have good working knowledge in the use of equipment used for the diagnosis and treatment of patients receiving routine and critical respiratory care.
