Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. Consults physicians on therapy effectiveness and serves as an advanced resource for clinicians.

Position includes a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and day‑one comprehensive benefits. Requires a CoARC-approved program, NBRC RRT, and state licensure; ACLS preferred with possible CCU/ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC; PALS for ER staff if applicable.
• Physical demands include push, pull and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.
• Preferred Education: ACLS.
• Preferred Experience: Critical care experience.

• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Critical care experience.
