Northshore Home Health Care in Newark, NJ seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care for acute and critical care patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and adjust treatments while managing ventilators and collaborating with the care team.

You will educate patients and families, document in the EMR, and uphold safety and infection control standards while contributing to ongoing clinical education and quality initiatives.

Formación

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Strong critical care and ventilator management experience.
• Ability to assess patients, deliver timely interventions and manage urgent situations.
• Excellent teamwork and communication for patient education and clinical coordination.
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to safety and infection control.

Responsabilidades

• Perform patient respiratory assessments and develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans.
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilators and provide advanced respiratory therapies.
• Administer inhaled and other respiratory treatments as ordered and per clinical protocols.
• Respond to emergencies including rapid responses and cardiopulmonary codes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care needs and therapeutic plans.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and clinical practice standards.
• Participate in ongoing clinical education and quality improvement initiatives.
