Responsibilities

• Assist with placement of artificial airways; initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient for therapeutic response; notify provider and intervene as needed for unintended responses.
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity during resuscitation as required.
