Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders and guidelines. The role includes caring for adolescent to geriatric patients, including in intensive care areas, with competency aligned to hospital policy.

Required: accredited program, GA-licensed RRT, BCLS/ACLS/PALS. Preferred: bachelor’s degree, 1 year experience, NRP certification. Work hours: 6:45PM - 7:15AM, rotating weekends, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in GA, in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per physician orders and guidelines.
• Manage care for assigned patient groups in adolescent, adult, geriatric, or NICU settings, with competency as defined by Northside Hospital.

Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist at Northside Hospital independently provides various respiratory therapy treatments and procedures in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Composite Medical Board.

The Northside Hospital Registered Respiratory Therapist manages care for an assigned group of patients including adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and adult or neonatal intensive care area with completed competency in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must be a graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from Georgia Composite Medical Board in good standing without limitations.
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) by the American Heart Association.
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association.
• Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by the American Heart Association.

PREFERRED

• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy
• One (1) year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Work Hours:

6:45PM - 7:15AM
