Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide cross- age group respiratory care under physician orders. You’ll operate within policies and maintain clinical standards while delivering direct patient care.

The position is part of our traveler staffing program with a 90-day assignment and renewal option; schedule includes 36 hours weekly with alternating weekends and holidays. Massachusetts licensure and ACLS timing apply.

Formación

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Massachusetts license and RRT/CRT requirements with timelines.
• ACLS must be obtained within three months of employment.
• Experience in critical care preferred; new grads welcome.

The assignments are 90 day assignment, with the option to renew. The hours are 36 hour per week; includes every other weekend and holiday rotations.Job Description:Position Summary:This position reports directly to the Director or Manager of Respiratory Therapy and receives day to day oversight from the Respiratory Supervisors. The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs respiratory care related duties to all age groups. The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for direct patient care within their scope of services in accordance with state licensure, and the Registration Board of Respiratory Care. The Respiratory Care Practitioner works under physician orders, follows departmental and Lahey Hospital & Medical Center policies. The Respiratory Care Practitioner utilizes a high level of critical thinking skills, must have the ability to apply the appropriate best-practice, be objective and receptive to others’ points of view with regard to patient care issues.Education:Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy from an Accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.Licensure, Certification, Registration:Massachusetts LicenseRegistered Respiratory Therapist PreferredCurrent ACLS needs to be obtained within three months of employmentRRT is required, but can apply as CRT and must obtain RRT within a year.Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:-Minimal Computer skills-Excellent interpersonal skills-Working knowlegde of PC’s.-Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills.-Ability to impart specialized clinical and medical information to members of the health care team; physician, nursesExperience:Experience as a Staff Respiratory Therapist with a focus on critical care preferredNew Grads are welcome to applyPay Range:$69.36 - $79.56The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
