Rush Copley Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Aurora, Illinois. This role involves assessing and planning care for patients’ respiratory needs, ensuring ethical and compassionate care.
The ideal candidate must possess a current Illinois state license in Respiratory Care and be certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Other required certifications include ACLS, PALS, and NRP for working in NICU. Join our dedicated multidisciplinary team!
Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients’ respiratory status, and plan of care. Functions independently in all areas of the organization. Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion that exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley, and is in accordance with policies and procedures. The Respiratory Therapist is expected to uphold the most ethical and safe processes while keeping the care of the patient as a top priority. The position works closely with the entire multidisciplinary team and must have a complete understanding of own limitations and, in turn, seek advice, judgment and support of others, when necessary.
License: Current Illinois State License as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Education: Completion of CoARC approved program in Respiratory Care required.
Credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) required to work in Level III NICU after October 31, 2026.

The pay range for each role reflects RUSH’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
