Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform baseline and critical respiratory therapies for adult and geriatric patients. The role requires strong independence as well as ability to supervise others as delegated, in accordance with department policies.

Candidates should hold NBRC-RRT/CRT credentials, CA RCP license, CPR/BLS, ACLS, and demonstrate experience with ventilated patients and arterial blood gases per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Three years' technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents the appropriateness of prescribed therapy for patients receiving respiratory care services.
• Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy, while maintaining charts.
• Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician order.
• Provides care to ventilator patients.
• Assists in department record keeping and operation, including supervision of new employees.
• Documents care given; maintains treatment records and generates documents for charges or record keeping.

Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner

Job Summary

Performs basic and critical respiratory care services. Has the ability to work well without supervision as well as maintain supervision over others, as delegated. Provides respiratory care services for the adult and geriatric patient. Provides respiratory care for patients with respiratory disease, as ordered by the physician and in accordance with current department policies concerning all phases of respiratory therapy.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's) (Preferred)
• Master's Degree (Preferred)
• Three years' technical experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential (Required (in CA, OR, and HI))
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (Required (in CA))
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy (Required)
• Registered or Certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy (Required)
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS (Required)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy (Preferred)
