Job summary

HiredFirst in California seeks a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner – NICU for a 13-week contract. Location: California 93405. Pay: $1,987 – $2,230 per week.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with occasional neonatal transport coverage. You will provide neonatal and critical care respiratory therapy, perform intubation and ventilator management, administer therapies, document care, and support compliance with ventilator and VAP bundles.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Minimum 5 years critical care experience, 2–3 years in NICU.
• Neonatal intubation experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• NBRC-RRT or CRT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal and critical care respiratory therapy.
• Perform neonatal intubation and ventilator management.
• Administer aerosol, oxygen therapy, and arterial blood gas draws.
• Document care, maintain charts, and complete EMR/charge records.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, specialty procedures, and staff training.
• Ensure compliance with ventilator and VAP bundles.
• Serve as a resource to physicians and staff on respiratory care interventions.
