Job summary

Montage Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (Per Diem) to join our team in California. The role provides respiratory care to patients of all ages, including assessment, therapy initiation, and documentation, under supervision of the department director or supervisor.

Required credentials include RRT, valid California respiratory care license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP must be obtained before orientation completion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school for Respiratory Therapy.
• Must have RRT credential and valid CA respiratory care license.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP to be obtained before orientation completion.
• Per Diem role; 12-hour shifts with minimum four shifts per schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages.
• Assess and reassess clinical conditions and determine appropriate therapies.
• Document therapies and educate patients, families, and staff per department standards.

Position Summary

Under the leadership of the department director and/or supervisor, the RCP provides respiratory care services to patients of all ages. These services include assessment and reassessment of clinical conditions where indicated, and determination, implementation, and documentation of appropriate therapies. The RCP provides education according to current department standards for patients, families, community members, students and other staff.

Experience Preferences

• Acute care to include critical care experience (ICU, NICU)
• Two (2) years or more experience in field of Respiratory Care preferred

Education

Graduate of a school for Respiratory Therapy.

Licensure/Certifications

Newly hired employees must have Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Valid California license for respiratory care. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications must be obtained prior to completion of orientation and independent assignment.
