Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join a patient-centered imaging team across multiple locations. You will operate x-ray equipment, perform general radiology, portable and fluoroscopic exams, and help produce diagnostic-quality images.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, education, and efficient image handling through PACS. This PRN position requires graduation from an accredited radiologic program, ARRT registration, state licensure, and BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

As a Radiologist Technologist, you will use your knowledge and learned skills to operate various types of x-ray equipment, including stationary unity, mobile machines, C-arms and fluoroscopy systems, to provide physicians with images to help diagnose conditions. On this team, your efforts can help facilitate a welcoming, calming and healing environment to relieve any discomfort or unease patients may feel throughout the exam process. A caregiver in this position works PRN| various shifts| able to cover shifts at various locations.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $34.00

Maximum hourly: $34.00
