Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to operate overnight polysomnography at the Seattle VA Medical Center. The role includes PAP therapy interventions, HSAT, patient monitoring, and meticulous charting.

Ideal candidates hold an RPSGT/RST or CRT license with at least 3 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills to work with clinical teams and patients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and BLS/ RQI credentials.
• Current RPSGT/RST or CRT license in practicing state.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant polysomnography experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight Polysomnographic studies using various PAP modes.
• Conduct Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
• Monitor and document patients undergoing physiologic studies.
• Monitor and track equipment and supplies.
• Complete record keeping and charting.
• Address technical and interpersonal problems effectively.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.

The Technologist is expected to do the following:

• Perform overnight Polysomnographic studies, using various modes of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy interventions.
• Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
• Monitors and documents on patients undergoing physiologic studies.
• Monitors and tracks equipment and supplies.
• Completes record keeping and charting.
• Ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.
• Ability to Score Studies according to AASM guidelines.

Requirements:

• High School Degree or GEDBLS Certification or RQI for Healthcare ProvidersCurrent RPSGT/RST or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) licensed in the state of practiceat least 3 years of relevant experience
