Job summary

Wyandot Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technician to join our Sleep Lab. This full-time role supports sleep diagnostics and therapy, under the Respiratory Director, providing patient care, data collection, scoring, and education to improve sleep health in our community.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Ohio as Respiratory Therapist with sleep lab experience and/or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
• Strong knowledge of sleep study procedures, data collection and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and follow established protocols.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct polysomnography studies per established protocols.
• Gather and analyze patient information and clinical data.
• Prepare patients for testing, explain procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
• Monitor and record physiological data during sleep studies.
• Score and interpret polysomnographic recordings as directed.
• Assist with patient education and follow-up related to sleep disorders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Support management and organization of the Sleep Lab.

The Registered Polysomnographic Technician is a full-time position working approximately 80 hours per two-week pay period. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. This role works under the general supervision of the Respiratory Director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders through diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, patient care, and education.

• Licensed in the State of Ohio as one of the following: Respiratory Therapist with sleep lab experience, and/or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
• Strong knowledge of sleep study procedures, data collection, and analysis
• Ability to work independently and follow established protocols
