Job summary

Job description

Job Description

Accountable for performing, coordinating, and scoring physiologic studies of sleep and sleep‑related disorders. The incumbent provides care to patients via technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination with other health care professionals.

Essential Functions
  • Perform overnight polysomnographic studies using various modes of positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy interventions.
  • Perform home sleep apnea tests (HSAT).
  • Monitor and document patients undergoing physiologic studies.
  • Monitor and track equipment and supplies.
  • Complete record keeping and charting.
  • Address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems.
  • Demonstrate communication skills.
  • Use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.
  • Score studies according to AASM guidelines.
  • Obtain 10 continuing education credits (CEC) related to sleep medicine annually.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and orientation/ongoing education of the PSG Tech and PST CPSGT.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • BLS Certification or RQI for Healthcare Providers.
  • Current RPSGT/RST or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) licensed in the state of practice, if required.
  • Availability to work varying shifts, including night shift.
  • Specific certifications or skills as required by facility or patient population (i.e., PALS, ACLS, NRP).
Posting Specifics
  • Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week.

  • Hourly rate: $29.14–$44.94 (dependent on experience).
