IRMC in Indiana, PA is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to verify orders, dispense medications (including IV admixtures, chemotherapy and controlled substances), and provide clinical consultations to staff. You will supervise technicians and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role involves MD/Pharmacy rounds, educating patients, and active participation in CDTM programs. This is a full-time, on-site position with patient-centered care at the core.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education
• Current valid license to practice pharmacy in Pennsylvania
• Continuing education credits to maintain active licensure as mandated by the PSBP.

Responsabilidades

• Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and controlled substances
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical consultations to medical and nursing staff
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with care teams to optimize medication use
• Educate patients and families on safe and effective medication use when appropriate
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, students, and interns
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation in pharmacy and patient medical records systems
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within the pharmacy department
• Participates in Collaborative Drug Therapy Management (CDTM) programs as assigned
