Job summary

NR Consulting in Johnstown, PA is seeking a Registered Pharmacist for a 13-week contract at 407 Central Avenue, Johnstown. The role runs 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a rotating schedule including weekends and a 32-hour minimum guarantee per week.

You will fill prescriptions, provide MTM and immunizations, counsel patients, supervise staff, and ensure safety and compliance under state and federal rules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) BS In Pharmacy required.
  • Pharmacist License in the state practicing pharmacy required.
  • Immunization Certification required; CPR Certification required.
  • Pharm.D. or Doctoral Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers seeking guidance on pharmacological options and provide information.
  • Provide MTM, immunizations, POCT, diagnostic testing, and prescriptive services.
  • Ensure accuracy of prescriptions and perform Drug Utilization Review and QA.
  • Support patient care teams and collaborate with providers for better outcomes.
  • Supervise pharmacy associates and assist Pharmacy Manager with training.
  • Resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete required certifications and training as per policy.
  • Maintain security of the Pharmacy department.

Job Title- Registered Pharmacist

Shift timing- 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Shift Days- Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat (Rotational, any 4 days in a week)

GuaranteeHours- 32/week

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is assisting customers with their health care needs and maximizing health outcomes by filling prescriptions, providing clinical services, advising on therapies, providing excellent customer service, and supervising pharmacy associates. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with company policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: % TIME

  • Engage customers seeking guidance on pharmacological and non-pharmacological options for health condition management using provided clinical tools, and delivering information based on customer-preferred communication method. 15%
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services based on state regulations, including, but not limited to, adherence support, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing (POCT), diagnostic testing, and prescriptive authority to improve patient therapeutic outcomes.15%
  • Leveraging products and services to benefit the customer and build profitable retail business and script growth. 15%
  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled, by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to DEA, State and Federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. 15%
  • Provide appropriate patient care with in-person, telephonic or digital means, collaborating with providers and patient care teams focused on patient health, and wellness outcomes. 10%
  • Assist Pharmacy Manager with the supervision of the pharmacy by providing leadership to the pharmacy associates and supervise the completion of their training, provide coaching, and performance feedback. 10%
  • Handle and resolve customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction. 10%
  • Complete company required certifications, education and training. These requirements include but are not limited to Whole Being Health including traditional medicine and holistic wellness and alternative therapies, support for clinical service activities, training for regulatory requirements. 5%
  • Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department. 5%
  • Ensure that Standard Work is followed for performing activities or processes. Standard work documentation contains instructions, useful graphics, and must be followed to ensure that work is done consistently no matter who does it. 5%
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position directly supervises and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.   • Bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) BS In Pharmacy required.

  • Immunization License in the state practicing pharmacy, if required by state regulations required
