Job summary

Harris Health in Houston, TX seeks a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and dispense prescribed medications under supervision, ensuring patient care and safety. Adherence to state and organizational regulations is required.

The role requires at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience (2 preferred) and Texas Board of Pharmacy registration; IV certification and MTM certification are preferred. Weekend and holiday shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and in good standing; IV certification preferred; MTM Certification preferred.
• Work Experience: Minimum 1 year as Pharmacy Technician; 2 years preferred.
• Special requirements: heavy public contact with strong verbal communication.

JOB SUMMARY

Prepare and dispense prescribed medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist while ensuring excellence in patient care, patient safety and patient satisfaction. Adhere to all state, federal, organizational, and departmental regulations and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School Diploma/GED; Registered by Texas State Board of Pharmacy & in good standing; IV certification preferred, MTM Certification preferred

Work Experience (Years and Area): Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician; 2 years' experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred
