Job summary

Life Care Center Of Aurora in Colorado seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care under physician referral, in line with Life Care standards. You will help patients regain independence through targeted activities and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Requires NBCOT, BSOT/MSOT, active state license, CPR; 1 year experience preferred but new grads are welcome. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification upon hire; renewal optional.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT).
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing.
• One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaisons with patients and families to plan for patient needs; follow treatment plans.
• Maintain professional conduct; adhere to Life Care policies and confidentiality.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics; exercise independent judgment when warranted.
• Oversee care provided by OTAs and Rehab Aides; chart appropriately and timely.

Compensation Range

• Full Time: $42 to $52
• PRN: $50 to $55
  

Position Summary
The OT - Occupational Therapist provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements

• NBCOT certified upon hire, but renewal is optional going forward

Specific Job Requirements

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
• Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
• Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
