Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Wound Care for leadership in wound management. The role guides care delivery, uses the nursing process, and communicates with patients and families, while documenting interventions and outcomes.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure in NC, wound-care certification (CWOCN/CWON/WCC) or related degree within 2 years, and 5+ years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Certification in wound care (CWOCN/CWON/WCC) or related degree within 2 years.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership to deliver professional wound care.
• Apply nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate and educate patients and families.
• Coordinate care, delegate tasks and document interventions.
• Implement medically prescribed wound care treatments.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse Licensure
• (CWOCN) Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse, or (CWON) Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse, or (WCC) Wound Care Certified, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
• 5 years experience Required Years of Experience
